Reviews
So very humbling. I recommended checking out the museum and the pithouse on the east end of the parking lot and then heading out on the hikes starting with the one around the museum. It was very peaceful at the meditation spiral on the canyon overlook trail.
Apparently you can ask about a guided tour to get closer to the Newspaper rock. I'll definitely be going back. Beautiful canyon. Be respectful
Our family loves state parks. Friendly rangers, less crowds and really cool hikes. Fremont State Park has an awesome kids discovery room with an interactive pit house filled with fun things for imaginative play (fake maize, etc.). It also had an awesome microscope to look at pottery pieces. That evening they also had a fun Halloween festival with SO many activities for the kids. The whole day was so much fun. We'd love to camp here.
This was a fun stop. There were several trails you could go on, we only did the 0.2 mile walk about. The front desk will give you a map. The museum had some fun interactive things for the kids. Like I said it was a fun stop. I don’t know if I would go out of my way. One thing that got us excited was a Navajo family that makes Navajo tacos for you but you have to call to see if they will be there.
Very nice visitor center and museum. Certainly worth a visit. Should you have time self-explore the surrounding area. There are so many petroglyphs and pictrographs to see. There are many safe hiking trails.
Very helpful staff. We were there to ride AYV trails and they were friendly and knowledgeable. There are world class ATV trails close by on the amazing Paiute trail system. Still some snow at the highest elevations.
Very nice and interesting place for a break and lunch. Nice museum and bathroom. Has water and picnic area and light hiking course. Great campgrounds near by.
the best experience we have ever had, we will certainly go back
I love that they took the time to carefully preserve and display the artifacts they found while building I70. The history and geology of this place are so special!
